CSP once again joined forces with Chester Performs to help produce a wonderful live art event that took place within the walls of Chester Castle. With over 4 thousand in attendance spread over 2 days there was plenty to do. Supplying all lighting, sound, video and site power to the whole site was a tricky job as most of the acts were open to the elements, but with a bit of luck the weather held off and everything went down a storm (sorry couldn’t resist) check out the photo’s at http://www.chesterperforms.com/upthewall/2011/11/04/up-the-wall-gallery/

CSP have just returned from producing its 5th College Awards, after a very successful 2010 Awards, we were worried how we were going to top them, but as usual we pulled all the creative stops out, by providing a stunning back drop made up of 3 layers, the fisrt layer was a 16m LED star cloth, the second was a 12m x 1m aluminium hung frame with stretched canvass and finally 4 aluminium frames with printed sharks tooth gauze alongside a 4m widescreen, all aspects of the set were flown independently giving the set dimension. There were several new lighting products eagerly used on this event, our new beam kits for the martin mac 250 wash (just as good as the clay paky and not just a 1 trick pony!) and also our new RGB LED Tape. This year the client opted for High Definition and were amazed with the results, using our Sanyo 10K FullHD Projectors along with DVi Fibre Optic Cable, the on screen graphics and camera’s looked stunning.

CSP provided 180m of prolyte H30v Truss, along with 32 motorised chain blocks, 60 ADB F101 Fresnels, 24 Source4 Zoom and a 72 way AVO Dimmer Rack. With both concerts being sell outs there was little room for front of house, the solution was to use a Yamaha LS932 and 2 x Yamaha SB168-ES digital mutlicore systems, the whole front of house only took 6 chairs out of the audience. A Shermann RS5 rig was used as main Front of house system, with a futher 4 x Shermann RS1 used as front fills., on stage monitors were a mixture of Shermann LM4′s and Shermann MRL601.
